Fire Alarm Technician

Big Muddy Fire Alarm is seeking a skilled and reliable Fire Alarm Technician to ensure the safety of our clients by maintaining, installing, and servicing fire alarm systems. The successful candidate will perform routine inspections, troubleshoot fire alarm systems, and ensure compliance with all local, state, and NFPA codes. 

Key Responsibilities

• Installation & Service: Install, program, and repair various fire alarm system components in commercial and residential settings.
• Inspections & Testing: Perform routine inspections and tests, ensuring all systems operate according to NFPA 70 and 72 standards.
• Troubleshooting: Diagnose malfunctions and swiftly resolve technical issues.
• Documentation: Complete detailed inspection reports, service paperwork, and inventory logs in a timely manner.
• Client Service: Act as the face of the company, providing technical support, training, and education to customers.
• Safety Compliance: Adhere to all safety protocols, including working in high or confined spaces. 

Qualifications and Skills

• Experience: 1 years of experience in the installation and/or maintenance of fire alarm systems.
• Certification: NICET Level I, II, or III certification preferred. (Not Required)
• Technical Knowledge: Strong understanding of electrical wiring, fire alarm systems, and ability to read blueprints/schematics.
• Soft Skills: Excellent communication and customer service skills.
• Physical Requirements: Ability to lift/move equipment up to 75 pounds.
• Requirements: Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
