At Big Kid Custom Rides, we build high end custom hot rods. We have an awesome team and are looking to expand.
This is NOT an entry level position. 2 years minimum related experience required to apply.
We are looking for someone that wants to make a career here at Big Kid Custom Rides.
Our schedule is Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday.
8:00 am - 6:00 pm ** Potential flexibility**
Pay starts at $25 - $35 depending on experience.
Job Summary:
As an Automotive Assembly Technician, you’ll be responsible for assembling and fitting custom components, wiring, and mechanical systems into custom builds and restorations. From frame to finish, your hands-on skills and attention to detail will play a vital role in building high-end, show-quality hot rods.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assemble vehicles from chassis to completion, including drivetrain, suspension, interior, and body components
- Fit and install aftermarket and custom parts with precision
- Perform wiring for lights, gauges, and other electrical systems
- Collaborate with fabricators, painters, and other technicians to ensure seamless builds
- Maintain a clean, organized work area and follow safety protocols
- Troubleshoot and resolve mechanical and fitment issues during assembly
- Assist with final inspections and quality control before delivery
Qualifications:
- 3 years experience in automotive assembly or custom car builds
- Strong mechanical aptitude and knowledge of classic and performance vehicles
- Proficient with hand and power tools
- Familiarity with wiring, plumbing (brakes/fuel lines), and aftermarket parts
- Ability to read build sheets, and wiring diagrams
- Attention to detail, problem-solving mindset, and pride in craftsmanship
- Welding or fabrication experience is a plus, but not required
