Big Island Jewelers is seeking a Retail Sales Manager who loves building relationships, creating memorable customer experiences, and helping clients find the jewelry piece they've always dreamed of owning.

Hours: Tuesday-Saturday 8:30AM-4:30PM

This is more than a retail position. It's an opportunity to become part of a family-owned luxury jewelry store that has served Hawaiʻi for over 40 years. Every day, you'll help clients celebrate engagements, anniversaries, birthdays, achievements, and life's most cherished milestones.

Teaching, customer service, hospitality, event planning, and other people-focused careers often provide excellent backgrounds for this position.

Jewelry experience is appreciated but not required. We can teach jewelry knowledge. We cannot teach a positive attitude, reliability, and a genuine desire to help people.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver exceptional customer service to every guest
  • Help clients select jewelry that celebrates life's special moments
  • Assist customers with custom jewelry design projects and special orders
  • Share the beauty and story behind gemstones, diamonds, pearls, and fine jewelry
  • Build and maintain long-term customer relationships
  • Drive total store results by consistently achieving monthly sales goals
  • Follow up with prospective and existing clients
  • Take in jewelry repairs and communicate repair details accurately
  • Maintain and update customer records within our CRM system
  • Assist with social media content, reels, email marketing campaigns, and client outreach
  • Process invoices, online orders, shipping, and clerical paperwork
  • Maintain a beautiful, organized, and inviting showroom environment
  • Assist with merchandising and inventory presentation
  • Lead by example and contribute to a positive team culture

Compensation & Benefits

  • Competitive hourly wage based on experience
  • Quarterly commission bonuses tied to store sales goal achievement
  • Pay ranges from $18-20/hour, with the opportunity to earn an additional $5,000-$20,000 through quarterly performance bonuses

Additional Leadership Responsibilities

  • Support sales initiatives and help the team achieve store goals
  • Assist with inventory management and stock replenishment
  • Oversee daily store operations including POS transactions and cash handling
  • Help train and mentor team members on customer service and sales techniques
  • Assist with scheduling and operational organization
  • Support marketing initiatives and promotional events
  • Ensure company policies and procedures are followed consistently
