What are the responsibilities and job description for the MRI Technologist - PRN position at Big Horn Medical Imaging Center?
Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled MRI Technologist to join our healthcare team on a PRN (as-needed) basis. Even better if you're a multimodality tech (XR, CT, US). We are an outpatient imaging center, open Monday-Friday 8a-5p. No weekends, no holidays.
Duties
- Prepare patients for MRI procedures by explaining the process and ensuring their comfort and safety
- Operate MRI equipment to capture high-resolution images of internal body structures
- Utilize medical terminology accurately to document procedures and communicate findings effectively
- Assist in diagnostic evaluation by analyzing images for clarity and accuracy before submitting for physician review
- Maintain detailed records of all imaging procedures, ensuring compliance with safety standards and hospital policies
- Monitor patient physiology throughout procedures to ensure stability and safety during imaging sessions
Experience
- Proven experience as an MRI Technologist or in a similar medical imaging role with hands-on operation of MRI equipment
- Strong understanding of human anatomy and physiology relevant to diagnostic imaging
- Familiarity with medical terminology used in radiology and healthcare documentation
- Experience performing diagnostic evaluations based on imaging results
- Ability to apply aseptic techniques consistently to prevent infections during procedures
