Job Overview
Big Horn County Sheriff's Office is looking to hire 2 Patrol Deputy Sheriffs. Deputies will be responsible for enforcing laws, investigating crimes, and working with the public to build and maintain their trust.
Responsibilities
- Enforce local laws, and regulations with professionalism and integrity.
- Conduct criminal investigations by gathering evidence, interviewing witnesses, and preparing detailed reports.
- Respond promptly to emergency calls, accidents, and incidents to provide assistance and maintain order.
- Utilize surveillance techniques to monitor public areas and prevent criminal activity.
- Perform first aid and CPR when necessary to provide immediate medical assistance.
- Manage conflict situations with calmness and effective conflict resolution strategies.
- Lead community outreach initiatives to build trust and promote safety awareness among residents.
- Maintain accurate records through comprehensive report writing and documentation of daily activities.
- Operate law enforcement vehicles safely while adhering to traffic laws during patrols.
- Handle animal-related incidents with care, including animal control enforcement and animal handling when required.
As an entry level position we are willing to train the right person regardless of experiance level.
