What are the responsibilities and job description for the Cashier/Customer Service position at Big Hollow Food Co-op?
Cashiers at our community-owned cooperative grocery store provide friendly, knowledgeable service while handling customer purchases. Responsibilities include operating the register, accurately processing payments, and maintaining a clean store. Cashiers support co-op values by offering helpful product information, assisting with member questions, and promoting a positive, community-centered shopping experience. This role also helps with stocking and rotating products, in addition to a set of daily listed duties. Attention to detail, reliability, and a commitment to customer service are essential. We have three different cashier shifts/ day: opening (730am-130pm), mid-day (1030am-6pm), and closing (130pm-830pm). And we are open 7 days/ week. Eligible candidates must be able to work at least 1 weekend shift.

Big Hollow is a dynamic work environment that needs a dedicated staff member who is good at multitasking and can prioritize the stores needs on a day-to-day basis.
