This is a Seasonal Job that starts December 19th and last till January 1st Great way to get some extra cash or experience under your belt. Duties will be to assist the manager in operating fireworks stand and help check up on workers and cary worker duties. MUST WORK ON HOLIDAYS NON NEGOTIABLE. If you feel that you cannot work on Christmas Eve, New Years Eve, and New Years Day this job is not for you. You will get paid cash in hand when the season is over.
Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and friendly Cashier to join our team in a fast-paced retail environment. As a Cashier, you will be the first point of contact for customers, ensuring a positive shopping experience while efficiently processing transactions.
Duties
- Greet customers warmly and provide excellent customer service throughout their shopping experience.
- Operate cash registers and POS systems to process sales transactions accurately.
- Handle cash, credit, and debit transactions while maintaining a balanced cash drawer.
- Assist customers with inquiries regarding products, promotions, and store policies.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization at the checkout area.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth store operations.
- Supervise junior staff when necessary, providing guidance and support as needed.
- Perform basic math calculations to ensure accurate change is given to customers.
- Promote and sell store products by providing information about features and benefits.
Requirements
- Previous experience in retail sales or a grocery store environment is preferred.
- Strong communication skills to interact effectively with customers and team members.
- Proficiency in cash handling and operating cash registers or POS systems.
- Basic math skills for accurate transaction processing.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
