About the Role

Big Feat PR is seeking an experienced Publicist / Senior Publicist to join our growing team and play a key role in leading national album, tour, and artist development campaigns across our dynamic roster.

This position is ideal for a music publicity professional with approximately 3–5 years of experience, strong media relationships, excellent writing instincts, and a proven ability to independently drive press campaigns from strategy through execution. The role will be based in Nashville, joining the firm's growing Nashville based team, and further expanding Big Feat PR’s influence within the Nashville music community and broader national media landscape.

The ideal candidate will bring an established background in music PR experience in country and american roots artists, an active network of media and industry relationships, and the ability to identify and help pursue new client opportunities in partnership with senior leadership. This is an opportunity for a motivated, entrepreneurial publicist to grow within a respected independent agency while working closely with artists, managers, labels, agents, and media partners across genres.

Job Responsibilities

Lead and execute national album, tour, and artist campaigns across the Big Feat roster, overseeing strategy, outreach, follow-up, reporting, and client communication.

Develop and maintain strong relationships with national, regional, and local media across print, digital, broadcast, podcast, radio, TV, social, and emerging platforms.

Create thoughtful, strategic press campaigns tailored to each artist’s story, genre, goals, and release cycle.

Write and edit press releases, media alerts, artist bios, pitches, tour announcements, campaign updates, and client-facing materials.

Conduct targeted outreach for album releases, singles, tours, festivals, premieres, interviews, profiles, reviews, TV opportunities, podcasts, and local market coverage.

Support and grow Big Feat PR’s Nashville presence by cultivating relationships with artists, managers, labels, agents, venues, festivals, and industry partners.

Identify and help pursue new business opportunities, including prospective artist, label, festival, and management clients, in partnership with senior leadership.

Participate in client development efforts, including campaign ideation, proposal support, introductory calls, and strategic recommendations for potential new clients.

Manage campaign timelines, press targets, coverage tracking, media confirmations, show coverage, interview logistics, and reporting.

Work closely with artists, managers, labels, agents, and internal team members to ensure clear communication and strong campaign execution.

Coordinate with attending media at shows, including confirming guest lists, photo passes, interviews, reviews, and follow-up coverage.

Contribute to creative brainstorming across the company’s wider roster and support larger-scale campaigns where appropriate.

Maintain and update media lists, campaign trackers, client reports, and internal documents using Google Workspace and other PR tools.

Support internal communications and marketing tasks as needed, including newsletters, company social media updates, Dropbox/Google Drive organization, and agency materials.


Job Requirements

Approximately 3–5 years of experience in music publicity, artist PR, label publicity, agency publicity, tour press, or a related music communications role.

Established relationships within the music media landscape, with particular strength in national, regional, and/or Nashville-based press.

Strong understanding of the U.S. music industry, including artists, managers, labels, agents, venues, festivals, promoters, and media outlets.

Proven ability to lead press campaigns independently and manage multiple active projects at once.

Excellent writing, editing, and communication skills, with the ability to craft sharp, concise, engaging pitches and press materials.

Experience securing meaningful press across a range of outlets, including digital, print, broadcast, podcasts, local TV, regional press, and/or national media.

Comfortable developing campaign strategy, identifying story angles, and tailoring outreach to different artists, genres, and media targets.

Ability to build and maintain strong client relationships with professionalism, warmth, and attention to detail.

Entrepreneurial mindset with interest and ability in helping identify, pursue, and sign new clients.

Highly organized, deadline-driven, and detail-oriented, with strong follow-through and the ability to juggle competing priorities.

Comfortable using Google Workspace, Microsoft Office, Zoom, Mailchimp or Constant Contact, Dropbox, and media research tools such as Muck Rack, LinkedIn, and Google.

Working knowledge of social media platforms and how artists, media, and fans use them within modern music campaigns.

Passion for music and interest in supporting independent and established artists across genres.


Preferred Qualifications

Based in Nashville with strong, active ties to the local music community.

Experience working with artists across Americana, roots, indie, country, rock, pop, soul, R&B, jazz, folk, or related genres.

Existing relationships with Nashville-based managers, labels, agents, venues, festivals, and media.

Experience contributing to new business development, client pitching, or agency growth.

Comfort working within a small, collaborative, artist-first agency environment.


Additional Details

This is a full-time position with potential for growth within the company. The role is remote, though candidates should be based in Nashville and have a strong, active presence in the Nashville music industry.
