Job Summary
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) or Registered Nurse (RN) to join our dynamic healthcare team. Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough patient assessments, including vital signs, physiology evaluations, and medical history documentation.
- Administer medications, injections, and treatments following established protocols and nursing policies.
- Perform venipuncture for blood draws and IV insertions with precision and care.
- Maintain accurate medical records using Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems and ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations.
- Monitor patient condition changes, respond promptly to emergencies, and operate AEDs (Automated External Defibrillators) as needed.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement individualized care plans for diverse patient populations including trauma, emergency, post-acute, outpatient, and sub-acute care settings.
- Adhere strictly to State Board of Nursing regulations and Nursing Practice Acts while ensuring quality nursing care in accordance with hospital policies.
Skills
- Proven experience in Level II trauma centers, emergency medicine, or Level I Trauma Centers is highly preferred.
- Strong background in hospital medicine, medical-surgical units, ICU (Intensive Care Unit), PICU (Pediatric Intensive Care Unit), or urgent care environments.
- Knowledge of infectious disease management, acute care procedures, and post-acute care practices.
- Proficiency with EMR/EHR systems for accurate documentation of patient care activities.
- Skilled in patient assessment techniques, vital signs monitoring, anatomy and physiology knowledge, and medical terminology.
- Competent in performing IV insertions, venipuncture, medication administration, first aid procedures, CPR certification, AED operation, and basic life support (BLS).
- Familiarity with HIPAA compliance standards and nursing policy adherence across diverse healthcare settings including geriatrics and outpatient clinics.
- Ability to handle manual patient handling tasks safely while maintaining a compassionate approach to patient care.
