Role Description
The Senior Environmental Scientist role is a full-time, on-site position based in Norwalk, CT. The professional will be responsible for overseeing and conducting environmental fieldwork, completing detailed environmental assessments, facilitating environmental impact analyses, and consulting with clients on regulatory and compliance matters. The role demands strong communication and project management abilities, as well as experience managing client relationships and supervising field teams. This position plays a critical role in delivering high-quality environmental solutions aligned with the company’s dedication to client satisfaction and scientific accuracy.
Qualifications
- CT LEP or on track for LEP licensure.
- Experience with CT DEEP and NYS DEC regulations
- Experience conducting Field Work, including site assessments and environmental sampling.
- Expertise in Environmental Science, including ecosystem analysis and environmental processes.
- Proficiency in Environmental Impact Assessment and knowledge of related regulatory frameworks and methodologies.
- Background in Environmental Consulting, including client communication and project management experience.
- Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills, with strong attention to detail.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
- Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science, Biology, Geology, or a related field; a Master’s degree is preferred.
- Professional certifications (e.g., Professional Geologist, Wetland Specialist, or similar) are highly desirable.
