A strong understanding of sales techniques is beneficial, as the Farmer may also participate in retail sales activities.
Duties
- Cultivate and manage a variety of crops, ensuring adherence to agricultural best practices.
- Monitor crop health and implement pest control measures as needed.
- Operate and maintain farming equipment and machinery.
- Assist in the planning and execution of planting, harvesting, and irrigation schedules.
- Engage with customers during product demos and retail sales events, providing information about produce.
- Handle cash transactions accurately while maintaining records of sales.
- Collaborate with team members to achieve production goals and improve operational efficiency.
- Upsell products to customers by effectively communicating the benefits of various offerings.
Skills
- Strong communication skills to effectively interact with team members and customers.
- Experience in sales, particularly in a retail environment, is preferred.
