Big Dog Adhesives is looking for a hands-on Manufacturing Process Engineer who can help us strengthen, improve, and optimize the way our plant operates as we continue to grow.
We are looking for someone who can see both the big picture and the small details, someone who enjoys being on the plant floor, understanding how work is actually being done, troubleshooting equipment, identifying opportunities for improvement, and helping implement practical solutions.
This role will work across our manufacturing operation, from raw materials and adhesive mixing through filling, packaging, testing, warehousing, and shipping.
This is not a desk-only engineering position.
- Evaluate manufacturing processes across the plant.
- Troubleshoot equipment and production issues.
- Identify opportunities to improve efficiency, consistency, quality, and workflow.
- Improve adhesive mixing, batching, filling, packaging, testing, and material-handling processes.
- Review equipment performance and recommend adjustments, repairs, improvements, or automation.
- Lead root-cause analysis and corrective-action efforts.
- Develop and improve standard operating procedures and work instructions.
- Help establish stronger process controls and manufacturing standards.
- Work closely with Production, Quality, Technical, Maintenance, Warehouse, and Leadership.
- Help reduce scrap, waste, downtime, and process variation.
- Support and train employees as improved processes are implemented.
- Use data and observation to measure the effectiveness of process improvements.
