Evening Cashier Team Lead - Pocatello

This position is a part time position that will be required to work flexible shifts between the hours of 1:30pm and 8:30pm Monday - Saturday. This position will have an average of 15-25 hours per week.

Big Deal Outlet is a rapidly growing retail establishment with locations in Utah and Idaho. We focus on liquidating products that cannot be sold through regular retail channels. This includes, scratch and dent, overstock, customer returns, and salvage consumer products. Opening and Closing Procedure:

• Open and close the store
• Count tills and process deposits
• Evening cleanings- bathrooms, sweep, take out trash etc. 
• Answer customer questions
• Lead the team in absence of a manager

Cash Register:

• Operate Cash register for entire shift or as needed.
• Receive payments and issue receipts.
• Accurately count cash you receive and return in change to customers.
• Utilize keyboard and 10-key to input merchandise into the register.
• Ability to remain knowledgeable on different weekly sales.

Customer Service:

• Greet Customers.
• Uphold a positive attitude when dealing with customers and other coworkers.
• Remain honest and professional in all customer and coworker interactions.
• Interact with customer to understand needs or answer any questions.
• Confidently answer phone calls and take messages.

Maintain Store Cleanliness:

• Collect misplaced items and be able to relocate them into the correct place.
• Utilize basic cleaning operations such as: sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, or disinfecting surfaces.
• Pickup trash and break down empty boxes as needed.

What You Will Do:

• Be the "go to" person for cashier inquires and mediating when necessary
• Process customer returns and exchanges in an efficient and courteous manner
• Handle customer inquiries and complaints related to returns and exchanges
• Maintain accurate records of all returns and exchanges
• Monitor the sales floor
• Converse with customers and provide service
• Monitor the store for potential theft, including observing customers and reviewing security footage
• Train other employees on theft prevention and returns processes
• Opening and closing the store
• Track and balance all cash and credit transactions within the respective cash register
• Interact with customers to understand needs or answer any questions
• Receive payments from customers and issue receipts

Requirements
