Duties
- Carefully pack household or commercial items using appropriate materials to prevent damage during transit
- Load and unload items from trucks, ensuring safe handling and proper placement
- Operate equipment such as forklifts, pallet jacks, or manual tools to move heavy or bulky items efficiently
- Assist with route driving as needed, including delivery driver responsibilities for local moves or deliveries
- Collaborate with team members to organize inventory and ensure all items are accounted for during loading and unloading
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment, adhering to safety protocols at all times
- Provide excellent customer service by communicating clearly with clients about the moving process and addressing any concerns professionally
Skills
- Experience in warehouse operations, moving, or packing environments is highly desirable
- Strong ability to lift heavy objects repeatedly while maintaining proper technique
- Familiarity with commercial driving, including box trucks or
drivers, is a plus - Knowledge of route driving and delivery driver experience enhances your versatility in this role
- Ability to operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and manual transmission vehicles safely and effectively
- Excellent customer service skills to ensure positive interactions with clients during stressful situations
- Physical stamina and agility to perform manual lifting, packing, and moving tasks throughout the day
