Counter Sales / Warehouse Associate - Lake Forest

Big D Floor Covering Supplies is a leading wholesale supplier to the flooring installation trade. We have locations in five States across the Southwest. We are experiencing big growth and need a Counter Sales / Warehouse Associate for our Lake Forest branch. The ideal candidate is consistent, energetic and willing to learn. We work in a fast-paced wholesale warehouse/retail environment serving flooring installation contractors.

In this position, you will interact with and get to know loyal customers as well as co-workers. You will assist with warehouse duties and working at a sales counter. It's a physically demanding--you'll be on your feet at a sales counter and in a warehouse all day--but rewarding job.

Job Requirements:

· Must be able to handle and maneuver a variety of materials--single items weighing up to 75 lbs and pallets (utilizing pallet jack) weighing up to 2,000 lbs.

• Must have high school diploma or equivalent (Ex: GED)
• Must be able to read, write and communicate in English
• Must have legal right or authorization to work in the United States

Additional qualities considered an advantage:

• Experience operating forklift and/or pallet jack
• Attention to detail
• Bi-lingual in Spanish

Core Job Duties

• Interacting with customers to take orders for products
• Assisting customers with technical questions about products
• Entering and finalizing customer orders
• Preparing and placing special order requests with our Purchasing Dept.
• Pulling product from warehouse for customers
• Stocking products in showroom
• Cleaning and organizing showroom
• Assist the warehouse with overflow duties.
• $17.00 per hour
