Big-D Construction has an opportunity for a Commissioning Technician to join our Heavy Industrial group in Soda Springs, ID. This role requires travel. The Commissioning Technician will assist with collecting data on standardization and interchangeability of parts to advance commissioning and start-up activities while ensuring all construction engineering projects are in conformance with company’s established policies.
Education/Experience Requirements
- Proficient use of all Microsoft Office Suite programs.
- Knowledge of construction engineering technology, codes, standards, etc.
- Two years of construction related experience
- Minimum one year in a commissioning capacity
- HS Degree Required
- Must possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Valid driver’s license, maintain a clean driving record
Essential Duties and Responsibilities (other duties may be assigned to meet business needs)
- Provides support to project teams for planning and execution of project startup activities.
- Provides support for Commissioning Managers and other startup personnel to address project specific issues.
- Develops startup services scope and cost for construction proposals
- Directs initiative for marketing of startup services to client
- Identifies and assesses improvement opportunities which will add value
- Champions continuous improvement efforts
- Assesses and supports the change management effects associated with the implementation of improvements
