Ready Mix Class A or B Driver

Job Summary

We are seeking a motivated and dependable Ready Mix Driver with Class A or B commercial driver’s license (CDL) to join our dynamic construction team. In this role, you will operate heavy-duty trucks equipped to deliver and pour concrete to various projects. Your expertise will ensure timely deliveries, safe operations, and adherence to all safety and transportation regulations. This position offers an exciting opportunity to be an integral part of large-scale construction projects, contributing to the development of vital infrastructure while maintaining high standards of safety and efficiency.

Job Description Summary
This position will be required to work in a team environment with other co-workers and managers.

· Properly follow all company policies and procedures for safe working procedures and environment.

· Report any problems to your manager.

· Perform daily pre & post- trip inspections with appropriate documentation in compliance with DOT guidelines and company policies.

· Obey applicable laws and follow dispatch instructions.

· Maintain daily vehicle mileage logs.

· Haul concrete

· Perform pre-trip and post trip inspections.

· Perform minor servicing and maintenance of equipment; refer major problems to the Foreman.

· Must keep truck in a clean and orderly condition.

· Maintain safe work environment at all times.

· When working with co-workers, constant eye contact will be maintained when backing, communicating using hand signals or other movements.

· Properly follow all company policies and OSHA / MSHA regulations for safe working procedures and environment.

· Perform general labor duties when necessary

· Perform other duties as assigned.

Work Requirements

· Hold a valid class A or B license

· Pass a pre-employment physical.

· Display a professional and courteous attitude to co-workers, supervisors and the general public at all times.

· Willing to travel and work away from home when required.

· Be willing to work nights and weekends when necessary.

· Report to work at the designated start time.

· Be able to work overtime when required.

· Be willing to work outdoors in extreme temperatures, both hot and cold.

· Strictly adhere to safety requirements and procedures.

· Have the willingness to work in a team environment.

· Wear personal protective equipment (PPE) (ex. steel toed footwear, vest, hard hat, protective eyewear, gloves, etc.) in designated operations and production areas as stated by OSHA and / or MSHA.

· Be at least age 18 years of age due to nature of working environment.

· Preferred at least 1 years of related experience or training

Physical Demands

The employee is often required to sit, stand, walk, reach with arms and hands, climb or balance, and to lift, stoop, kneel, or crouch.

· Ability to drive 10 hours a day up to 70 hours a week

· Ability to enter and exit truck using 3 points of contact by pulling self in and lowering self out of truck

· Ability to reach and manipulate arms and shoulders overhead to lift chute

· Ability to clean truck with wash equipment (ex: brush, pressure sprayer)

· Ability to lift and open hood of truck for inspections

· Ability to lift 40 pounds

Education

· Possess a High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED)
