Overview
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Dance Instructor to join our vibrant team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in dance and a genuine enthusiasm for teaching students of all ages. This role involves creating a positive learning environment, fostering creativity, and inspiring students to develop their dance skills. The Dance Instructor will be responsible for planning and delivering engaging lessons while ensuring the safety and well-being of all participants.
Duties
- Develop and implement dance curriculum tailored to various age groups and skill levels.
- Teach dance techniques, choreography, and performance skills in a supportive manner.
- Create lesson plans that incorporate elements of childhood development and classroom management.
- Foster a positive and inclusive atmosphere that encourages student participation and growth.
- Assess student progress and provide constructive feedback to enhance their skills.
- Organize recitals, performances, or showcases to highlight student achievements.
- Collaborate with other instructors on interdisciplinary projects, integrating skills such as photography or culinary arts when applicable.
- Maintain a safe and clean studio environment, ensuring all equipment is in good working order.
Requirements
- Proven experience in dance instruction with a strong understanding of various dance styles.
- Background in early childhood education or experience working with children is preferred.
- Skills in curriculum development to create engaging lesson plans.
- Ability to manage a classroom effectively while promoting positive behavior among students.
- Additional skills such as cooking or sewing may be beneficial for interdisciplinary activities.
- Strong communication skills to interact effectively with students, parents, and fellow staff members.
- A passion for teaching and mentoring students of all ages, fostering their love for dance.

Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $14.50 - $25.00 per hour
