Responsibilities
- Supervise daily restaurant operations during assigned shifts, ensuring smooth workflow and excellent customer service.
- Lead, motivate, and train staff on food preparation, POS systems, cash handling, and customer service protocols.
- Oversee food safety standards and ensure proper food handling, storage, and sanitation practices are maintained at all times.
- Manage inventory control processes to minimize waste and optimize stock levels for food production and supplies.
- Handle guest concerns promptly and professionally to foster positive dining experiences.
- Coordinate with kitchen staff on food preparation, cooking procedures, and quality control to meet brand standards.
- Support hiring, interviewing, onboarding, and ongoing staff training to develop a high-performing team.
- Assist with shift management tasks such as scheduling, budgeting, and ensuring compliance with health regulations.
- Maintain accurate cash handling procedures and reconcile POS transactions at the end of each shift.
- Contribute to restaurant management efforts by participating in team meetings, performance evaluations, and operational improvements.
Skills
- Proven experience in food preparation, cooking techniques, and kitchen management within quick service or fast food restaurants.
- Strong knowledge of POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS for efficient order processing.
- Excellent customer service skills with a focus on hospitality management principles.
- Demonstrated supervising experience in a restaurant or hospitality environment.
- Ability to lead teams effectively through training & development initiatives while fostering a positive work environment.
- Familiarity with inventory control practices, food safety regulations, and budgeting processes.
- Experience in managing restaurant operations during shifts including catering or banquet experience is a plus.
