Duties
- Perform comprehensive diagnostics on various vehicle systems using advanced automotive electrical and mechanical tools.
- Repair and replace engines, transmissions, suspensions, brakes, shocks & struts, and other mechanical components to restore vehicle functionality.
- Conduct routine maintenance such as oil changes, tire services, wheel alignments, and vehicle inspections to ensure safety and reliability.
- Utilize schematics and technical manuals to troubleshoot complex issues in engines, powertrains, and automotive electrical systems.
- Repair auto body components as needed, including welding and other mechanical repairs.
- Maintain detailed service records, complete estimates for repairs, and communicate effectively with customers regarding their vehicle’s condition and recommended services.
Skills
- Proven dealership or automotive repair industry experience with a strong background in automotive diagnostics and mechanical systems repair.
- Expertise in engine repair, powertrain maintenance, transmission repair, and suspension system servicing.
- Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and automotive electrical systems.
- Ability to read schematics accurately and interpret technical manuals for complex repairs.
- Excellent customer service skills with a focus on clear communication and professionalism.
- Strong mechanical knowledge combined with the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining safety standards.
