We are seeking a dependable and hardworking Janitor/Bus Cleaner to help keep our fleet and workspaces in top condition.
Position Overview
The Janitor/Bus Cleaner plays a vital role in maintaining the cleanliness, appearance, and readiness of our buses and facilities. This hands-on position is responsible for cleaning and detailing buses, maintaining common areas, and ensuring a safe and sanitary environment for both guests and employees.
Key Responsibilities Fleet Cleaning & Detailing
- Clean and detail bus interiors and exteriors, including floors, seats, windows, mirrors, handrails, and driver areas.
- Remove trash and debris from buses.
- Wipe down and sanitize high-touch surfaces.
- Restock passenger supplies as needed.
- Conduct final quality inspections to ensure buses are clean and ready for service.
Facility Cleaning
- Clean and maintain restrooms, breakrooms, offices, and common areas.
- Empty trash receptacles and replace liners.
- Sweep, mop, dust, and sanitize facility spaces.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and professional work environment.
General Support
- Follow all company safety procedures and use appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE).
- Report maintenance issues, supply shortages, or equipment concerns to management.
- Assist with deep cleaning projects and other operational tasks as assigned.
- Support a culture of cleanliness, safety, and teamwork.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED preferred.
- Previous janitorial, custodial, vehicle detailing, cleaning, housekeeping, or facilities maintenance experience preferred.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to cleanliness.
- Ability to work independently and efficiently.
- Reliable, punctual, and dependable.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
Working Conditions & Physical Requirements
- Must be available to work Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays from 6:00 AM to 2:00 PM.
- Frequent standing, walking, bending, kneeling, crouching, and reaching.
- Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
- Regular use of cleaning equipment, chemicals, and detailing supplies.
- Exposure to varying weather conditions, temperature extremes, dust, noise, and cleaning agents.
- Must be able to perform physically demanding work throughout the shift.
