The Volunteer Coordinator supports the success of the Big Buddy Program by recruiting, training, and managing volunteers. This role ensures volunteers are effectively integrated into programs and events, enhancing program impact and quality.
Key Responsibilities
- Recruit, train, and retain a diverse volunteer base
- Maintain volunteer records and schedules
- Support and supervise volunteers, addressing issues and promoting retention
- Coordinate with staff to match volunteers with appropriate opportunities
- Lead volunteer recognition efforts and participate in special projects and events
- Build relationships with community partners and represent the organization at outreach events
- Ensure volunteer activities follow safety and confidentiality policies
- Assist with promotional materials and reporting on volunteer impact
Qualifications
- College graduate or bachelor’s degree or 3 years in a similar role
- Strong communication, organizational, and time management skills
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and virtual meeting platforms
- Dependable, adaptable, and self-motivated
- Reliable transportation required
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $17.00 - $19.00 per hour
