Overview
The Strategic Initiatives Coordinator connects Scholars to positive role models, skill-building opportunities, and impactful experiences that promote lifelong success. This role plays a vital part in implementing the Big Buddy Program model through direct facilitation of IMPACT Circles and Circle Mentors, coordination of schedules, workshops, and panels, and collaboration with the Support Team to ensure program goals are met and documented.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and coordinate schedules and logistics for youth programming
- Facilitate Circle Mentor sessions, workshops, and panel discussions
- Communicate program information to youth and families
- Support strategic partnerships and special projects
- Maintain accurate documentation and reports
- Participate in planning meetings and agency events
- Create and present materials for sessions and events
Relationship Building & Leadership
Build strong, supportive relationships with youth and help connect them to resources and mentors. Use creativity, initiative, and personal growth to strengthen program impact. Actively engage in leadership opportunities and contribute to the development and execution of special projects.
Qualifications
- College degree or bachelor’s degree or 3 years of experience in youth development
- Strong communication, organizational, and multitasking skills
- Self-starter with ability to work independently and collaboratively
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and virtual platforms (Zoom, Teams)
- Enthusiastic, dependable, and adaptable
- Reliable transportation and weekend availability for events
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $17.00 - $19.00 per hour
Expected hours: 30 per week
Work Location: In person
