Big Brothers Big Sisters of Erie, Niagara, and the Southern Tier’s (BBBS) mission is to create and support one-to-one mentoring relationships that ignite the power and promise of youth.
Job Overview:
BBBS seeks to fill our Site Coordinator position, which involves creating and supporting mentoring relationships between high school students and their younger peers in local school districts. Our Site Coordinator also provides case management services to the children and their families when necessary. The program occurs during after-school hours, where mentors and mentees participate in activities to encourage the development of the mentoring relationship and help develop their educational and life skills. The Site Coordinator is responsible for planning, implementing, and supervising these activities and acts as an ambassador between the organization and the partner districts, spending a significant amount of their workday in the schools.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED Minimum Required ;
- Experience working with children;
- Commitment to advancing the lives of children and young adults;
- Valid Driver’s License and Personal Transportation.
Schedule
- Must be available Wednesday 2 pm - 6 pm to facilitate site
- Minimum 20 hours per week with some flexibility to work Hybrid
