- Position Title: Enrollment & Match Support Specialist
Position Summary:
This role is responsible for guiding volunteers and families through the enrollment and matching process, ensuring strong, safe, and lasting mentoring relationships. The specialist uses independent judgment and BBBS standards to assess fit, match individuals, and provide ongoing support to ensure positive outcomes for youth.
Key Responsibilities:
Volunteer & Child Enrollment
- Respond to inquiries with high-quality customer service
- Screen and assess volunteer eligibility using BBBS criteria
- Conduct orientations, interviews, reference checks, and background screenings
- Complete parent/child interviews and safety education
- Identify and address barriers to enrollment
- Maintain accurate and timely database records
Matching & Support
- Match volunteers and youth based on interests and needs
- Facilitate match meetings and manage schedules
- Provide ongoing support to ensure child safety and match success
- Monitor match relationships and intervene as needed to address challenges
- Conduct regular check-ins and assessments
- Plan and promote match activities and events
- Conduct match closures and evaluate re-match potential
Customer Service & Outreach
- Collaborate with staff for smooth transitions across program areas
- Provide timely responses to families, volunteers, and stakeholders
- Promote BBBS to volunteers, references, and the community
- Share potential partner or donor leads with the Development team
- Support re-engagement of past volunteers and participants
Performance Indicators:
- Match retention, length, and closure rates
- Volunteer and youth enrollment yield and processing times
- Customer satisfaction
- Data accuracy and reporting quality
Qualifications:
Education & Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Social Services, Human Resources, or related field (required)
- Associate’s degree with 2 years of relevant experience (considered)
Skills & Competencies:
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Culturally responsive and inclusive mindset
- Detail-oriented with strong time management
- Able to manage shifting priorities and problem-solve
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and Google Suite
Other Requirements:
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
- Ability to work evenings/weekends as needed
- Background checks, including fingerprinting and drug testing
- Ability to lift up to 25 lbs occasionally
Work Environment:
This position involves a mix of in-office, field, and remote work. The role requires regular standing, walking, and sitting, as well as occasional lifting and driving to off-site meetings, events, family's homes and occasional transporting of children.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $17.25 - $17.50 per hour
