Position Summary
The Dodge County Program Specialist is responsible for the enrollment, matching, and ongoing support of adult and high school volunteers (Bigs) and youth (Littles) in Dodge County. This position ensures all processes align with BBBSSCW policies and Big Brothers Big Sisters of America standards.
This position ensures that youth and volunteer participants are properly enrolled, screened, matched, and supported to promote safe, effective, and enduring mentoring relationships. The Program Specialist also serves as the primary agency representative within Dodge County to advance recruitment, community engagement, and program growth.
Reports To: Program Director
Status: Non-Exempt
Location: Dodge County
The Program Specialist is responsible, with support from Program Staff, for:
● Compliance with all national safety, enrollment, and match support standards.
● Oversight and coordination of community-based and site-based mentoring programs in Dodge County.
● Continuous recruitment of volunteers and youth participants.
● Represent BBBSSCW within the Dodge County community.
● Accurate documentation, reporting, and data management.
Qualifications
● Must have a high school diploma/GED equivalent and meet one of the following criteria:
○ Bachelor’s degree in social work, education, human services, or a related field, or be within six months of degree completion;
● Experience in youth development, mentoring, case management, or nonprofit programming preferred.
● Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation required.
Work Environment and Expectations
● Work may be performed in office, school, and community settings, with occasional remote work possible.
● Some evening and occasional weekend hours required for events and recruitment activities.
● Local travel within Dodge County and the surrounding areas. Occasional travel within the BBBSSCW service area may be required.
Salary
● Pay: $18.50/hour, 20 hours/week
