Job Title: Enrollment and Match Support Specialist
Organization: Big Brothers Big Sisters of South-Central Pennsylvania
Location: Lancaster County (Hybrid Work), with one day a week at Harrisburg office
Position Type: Full-time (37.5 hours per week)
Big Brothers Big Sisters of South-Central PA is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic individual to join our team as an Enrollment and Match Support Specialist. This position plays a crucial role in facilitating the enrollment process, managing cases, and providing ongoing support to ensure successful mentoring relationships. The ideal candidate will possess strong facilitation skills, a passion for working with youth, and the ability to build positive relationships with stakeholders.
Responsibilities:
- Facilitate the enrollment process for volunteers and youth, including conducting interviews, completing assessments, and ensuring compliance with program requirements.
- Provide case management support throughout the duration of mentoring relationships, including monitoring progress, addressing challenges, and providing resources as needed.
- Coach mentors and mentees for success by providing guidance, encouragement, and training on effective mentoring practices.
- Develop and maintain positive relationships with volunteers, youth, families, and community partners.
- Utilize knowledge of child development and behavior to support the matching process and ensure appropriate pairings.
- Collaborate with team members to assess program effectiveness and identify areas for improvement.
- Coordinate and facilitate school-based mentoring programs, including scheduling sessions, communicating with school staff, and supporting volunteer mentors and mentees.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records in accordance with agency standards and confidentiality guidelines.
- Attend meetings, trainings, and events as required.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree preferred, preferably in social work, psychology, education, or a related field.
- Experience working with youth in a mentoring, counseling, or educational setting preferred.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to effectively engage with diverse populations.
- Bilingual proficiency is a plus.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple responsibilities.
- Flexibility to work a hybrid schedule, including one day per week in the Harrisburg office and remote work for the rest of the week.
