Job Overview
We are seeking an energetic and dedicated Part-Time Program Coordinator to join our team. In this role, you will be vital in managing our Lunch Buddy programs in Ridgewood and Riverview schools in Coshocton. This includes recruitment, match support, community engagement, data tracking, and event coordination. The coordinator ensures high-quality service delivery aligned with Big Brothers Big Sisters of America (BBBSA) national standards and agency goals. Ideally, we are looking for a candidate who resides in or around Coshocton County. This position requires strong organizational skills, relationship-building abilities, and a passion for youth development. Flexibility to travel and work some non-traditional hours is expected.
Duties
- Plan, implement, manage and evaluate school-based mentoring programs in the assigned school district.
- Serve as the main point of contact for school partners, volunteers (“Bigs”), youth (“Littles”), and caregivers.
- Conduct timely match support through in-person visits, phone calls, and digital communication to ensure healthy and safe relationships.
- Identify and address potential match challenges and escalate concerns to the Program Manager when needed.
Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in social work, education, psychology, or a related field.
- 1–3 years of experience working with youth, volunteers, or community programs.
- Experience with case management, interviewing, or assessments is preferred.
- Demonstrated commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI).
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills (written and verbal).
- Ability to build trust and rapport with diverse populations.
- Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
- Competency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, Publisher), email platforms, and data systems.
- Comfort with public speaking and presentations.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Flexibility to work evenings and occasional weekends.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and professional boundaries.
