Big Brothers Big Sisters of the Sun Coast is seeking a mission-driven, relationship-focused Mentor Manager to support youth mentoring matches in Manatee County.
This role guides volunteers, youth, and families through enrollment, thoughtful matching, and ongoing match support to ensure safe, meaningful, and sustainable mentoring relationships.

What You’ll Do
Enrollment & Matching
Conduct interviews and assessments with volunteers, youth, and parents/guardians.
Facilitate high-quality, strengths-based mentor/mentee matches.
Maintain an active caseload aligned with performance goals.
Encourage rematch opportunities and sustained volunteer engagement when appropriate.
Case Management & Match Support
Provide ongoing strengths-based case management and match supervision.
Conduct structured support contacts to ensure match safety, health, and progress.
Identify challenges early and implement proactive intervention strategies.
Develop and update Youth Development Outcome Plans (YODP).
Maintain accurate and timely documentation in the agency’s data system.
Escalate safety concerns in accordance with mandatory reporting requirements and agency policy.
Collaboration & Community Engagement
Deliver exceptional customer service to volunteers, youth, and families.
Collaborate across departments to ensure seamless service delivery.
Support volunteer recruitment efforts and participate in community outreach and agency events.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Social Work, Psychology, Human Services, Education, Sociology, Counseling, or a related field required.
(Relevant professional experience in youth development or case management may be considered in lieu of degree.)Experience in case management, youth services, nonprofit programs, education, or social services preferred.
Strong interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills.
Ability to manage multiple priorities while meeting quality and performance metrics.
Commitment to positive youth development.
Proficiency with documentation and data management systems.
- Ability to manage site-based programs at partner locations, including driving to and from, organizing activities, and interacting with site location staff to ensure group goals are met.

Salary : $47,000 - $50,000
