Responsibilities
- Safely demolish structures using hand tools, power tools, and heavy equipment in accordance with project plans and safety protocols
- Remove debris, hazardous materials, and recyclable materials from work sites efficiently and responsibly
- Assist with site preparation activities including clearing, grading, and setting up safety barriers
- Interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and construction plans to understand demolition scope and sequence
- Support the installation of building materials such as drywall, stucco, flooring, tile, or cabinetry during renovation phases
- Operate heavy equipment like excavators or loaders under supervision to facilitate large-scale demolition tasks
- Follow all safety guidelines rigorously to maintain a secure work environment for yourself and team members
Qualifications
- Prior construction experience with a focus on demolition or related trades preferred
- Familiarity with hand tools, power tools, and basic heavy equipment operation
- Knowledge of construction management principles and ability to interpret technical drawings and blueprints
- Experience with building material installation including drywall, flooring, tile laying, or masonry is a plus
- Strong understanding of safety protocols specific to demolition sites and outdoor work environments
- Ability to read construction plans accurately and follow detailed instructions effectively
- Excellent physical stamina for outdoor work in varying weather conditions; capable of lifting heavy materials safely
Nice-to-Have Skills (Optional but Beneficial)
- Experience with Bluebeam software for digital plan review and markups
- Skills in construction estimating or inspection processes
- Knowledge of plumbing, electrical systems, or restoration techniques
- Certification in heavy equipment operation or safety training programs such as OSHA standards
- operations of a truck and trailer cdl is a plus
