What are the responsibilities and job description for the Physical Therapy Assistant - PRN position at Big Bend Regional?
Full time, licensed Texas Physical Therapist Assistant. This position requires an associate degree from an accredited physical therapy assistant program. You’ll be implementing and following PT plans of care that have been established by our full-time physical therapists. This also gives you routine collaboration with the supervising PT to adjust and advance those plans of care as needed.
BBRMC is a 25-bed critical access hospital with large outpatient volume. BBRMC services a 12, 000 square mile service area located in Alpine, Texas. Located 150 miles southwest of Midland/Odessa and 200 miles southeast of El Paso, Texas. We not only provide Rehab to Alpine, but also, our surrounding neighbors in Marfa, Ft. Davis, Marathon, Big Bend National Park, Terlingua, and Presidio.
Our department provides rehabilitation services to acute care and skilled swing bed patients where you will be collaborating with OT, ST, nursing, case management, and physicians.
In outpatient, you will be assisting patients with a variety of diagnoses: geriatric, neuro, spine, sports medicine, and orthopedics. Our clinical focus is movement assessment and functional training across the spectrum of clinical diagnoses. It is a dynamic and fast paced growing clinic with plans for space expansion in 2022.
Our close-knit team includes OT and ST. We have advanced certifications in dry needling, SFMA, and kinesiotaping, as well has holding a Specialist certification from Champions Performance training.
