Occupational Therapist PRN - Home Health
Big Bend Hospice, a proud subsidiary of Seven Oaks Health, has delivered compassionate, high-quality care for more than 40 years across Franklin, Gadsden, Jefferson, Leon, Liberty, Madison, Taylor, and Wakulla counties. As we prepare to launch our new Home Health Team in January 2026, we are excited to welcome an experienced Occupational Therapist to help shape this growing service line.

The ideal candidate is an Occupational Therapist (OT) who helps individuals achieve greater independence in their daily activities and enhances their overall quality of life through therapeutic interventions.
Position Duties and Responsibilities:
The Occupational Therapist PRN responsibilities will include, but are not limited to the following:
- Delivers safe and competent occupational therapy as ordered by a physician. Plans, organizes and implements specific treatment programs or individuals patients according to the principles and practices of occupational therapy. Collaborates with interdisciplinary treatment team. Supervises work of support personnel.
- Demonstrates an understanding of diversity at all times and, as applicable, the incumbent within this position shall complete all duties/ responsibilities in a manner that is effective and appropriate, population specific and culturally competent, embracing diversity and demonstrating an understanding of needs relative to language, race, religion, age, gender, physical needs, nationality and the culture of the patients/clients/customers to whom care/service is being provided.
- Demonstrates Integrity, Compassion, Accountability, Respect, and Excellence in all performance and in all interactions with staff, customers, physicians, patients and visitors.
- Enhances and contributes to a safe environment for all colleagues, visitors, and patients.
- Provides constructive feedback and instruction to support staff in relation to patient care.
- Assists in orientation/training of new employees, PT-student, and hospital staff as assigned. Completes hospital, departmental and unit orientation and annual education requirements.
- Acts as a clinical instructor to student Occupational therapy students.
- Provides in-services related to patient population served.
- Attends all mandatory meetings and in-services.
- Receives authorization prior to treatment as stipulated per insurance carrier.
- Meets the minimum productivity per departmental requirements.
- Completes charges accurately and completely on the date of service.
- Reflects the actual time spent with the patient on the daily activity record.
- Utilizes support staff effectively and appropriately as related to patient care and office duties.
- Performs additional duties as assigned.
Work Schedule:
- Monday through Friday 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM shifts
- Required to provide 16 hours of availability every two weeks
Qualifications and Skills
Education & Experience:
- Master’s degree (or equivalent) in occupational therapy from an Accreditation Council for Occupational Therapy Education (ACOTE)-accredited educational program. Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) in occupational therapy from an ACOTE-accredited educational program conferred prior to 2007 may be accepted.
- Active (BLS) or (CPR) certification
- Active Florida Occupational Therapist license
