We are seeking an entry-level Leasing Assistant with prior office experience to support our property management team and help create a smooth, positive experience for prospective and current tenants. As a Leasing Assistant, you will handle tenant inquiries, coordinate showings, support marketing efforts, and assist with day-to-day administrative operations. Strong communication skills, the ability to manage a multi-line phone system, and solid computer proficiency are essential for success in this role.
Responsibilities
Leasing and Tenant Support
- Process all incoming guest cards and convert leads into scheduled showings for Property Managers.
- Screen and qualify leads from third-party platforms.
- Evaluate prospective tenants’ needs, living standards, and financial qualifications.
- Ensure renters insurance compliance across all properties.
- Manage incoming calls, emails, and mail, delegating tasks as needed.
- Coordinate unit vacancies and collaborate with the Maintenance Coordinator on upcoming turns.
Marketing and Listings
- Update and maintain online listings for all available properties.
- Support marketing efforts to attract new tenants, including creating ads and promotional materials.
- Conduct market research on comparable rentals and share findings with Property Managers.
- Deploy marketing materials such as signage, flyers, and online postings, including Zillow Spotlight and premium listings.
Administrative Operations
- Prepare move-in folders and ensure all onboarding materials are complete.
- Process incoming and outgoing mail.
- Maintain positive tenant relationships through proactive communication and support.
Secondary Responsibilities
- Assist Property Managers with property showings and tours.
- Showcase available units to prospective tenants.
- Support unit turns as delegated by the Managing Broker.
Qualifications
- Entry-level role, but prior office experience is required.
- Experience handling a multi-line phone system.
- Strong computer skills, including email, document management, and basic data entry.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Strong communication and customer service abilities.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and shifting priorities.
- Experience in leasing or property management is helpful but not required.
