In addition to your hourly wage, after training you will receive pooled tips along with cash tip distributions. This amounts to an additional average of $2 to $3 an hour.
Duties
- Prepare and assemble food items efficiently while maintaining high standards of quality and presentation
- Operate point-of-sale (POS) systems such as Aloha POS and Micros POS to process transactions accurately and swiftly
- Provide friendly, attentive customer service by taking orders, answering questions, and upselling menu items to enhance sales
- Handle cash transactions with precision, including cash handling and basic math calculations for change and totals
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation standards by bussing tables, cleaning workstations, and adhering to food safety protocols
- Assist with food handling, packaging, and serving orders promptly to ensure quick service times
- Support inventory management through proper food storage, rotation, and waste reduction practices
Qualifications
- Previous experience in food service or a quick-service restaurant environment is preferred but not required; enthusiasm and willingness to learn are essential
- Familiarity with POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS is a plus
- Strong time management skills to handle multiple tasks efficiently during busy periods
- Basic math skills for cash handling, sales calculations, and retail math applications
- Knowledge of food safety standards, sanitation procedures, and proper food handling techniques
- Excellent customer service skills with a friendly attitude and effective communication abilities
- Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced team environment within the food industry or retail settings such as grocery stores or cafés
