Retail Sales Associate – Big Agnes Flagship Retail Store
Position Type: Non-Exempt/Hourly Reports to: Store Manager

Summary/Objective:
The Retail Sales Associate is the front line of the Big Agnes retail store. This position’s first responsibility is the retail
store and its daily operation with emphasis on customer service, inventory management, and store appearance. This role
will also take part in strategic product buying, marketing, web sales, group sales, rentals/demos, and other aspects of day-
to-day retail operations.
Essential Duties/Responsibilities:
- Primary focus will be on the Retail Store with detailed attention to Customer Service, Merchandising, Inventory
- Performing daily Point of Sale (POS) operations including sales/returns, purchase orders, receiving vouchers, and
- Maintaining proper stock levels in the store
- Assisting with purchasing in-store items
- Working with Store Manager in creating ideas and copy for external advertising
- Building and maintaining in-depth knowledge of Big Agnes tents, sleeping bags and pads, packs, and apparel to help
- Setting up and refreshing product displays and visual merchandising to support seasonal launches and promotions
- Supporting web sales, including processing and fulfilling online orders as assigned
- Assisting with group sales, from initial inquiry through quotes, order processing, and follow-up
- Running rental and demo programs, including gear check-out and returns, inspection, cleaning, and basic upkeep
Job Qualifications:
• Schedule will require weekend, some nights and holiday shifts.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Some travel for trade shows and selling events.
- Strong verbal, written and computer skills.
Working Environment/Physical Activities:
• Ability to sit for periods of time at the computer/phone.
- Possible heavy lifting, bending while assisting other departments.
- Ability to stand for extended periods of time.
- Routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets
