Overview:
Biewer Sawmill, Inc. is looking to add a full-time Inventory Control Specialist to our team in Newton, MS. The person in this position will report to the Office Manager. This position will include inventory and cycle counting to ensure all material is properly accounted for and report product damage and concerns to the manager.
Accountabilities:
- Cycle Count each finished inventory sub-location twice per month
- Cycle count WIP inventory (rough green and rough dry) inventory once per week
- Account with the Office Manager to reconcile inventory based on physical counts, inventory adjustment approval from Plant Manager Ability to research tag history to determine root cause for inventory discrepancies and communicate the root cause effectively and efficiently to leadership
- Able to navigate Lumber Track interface for adding/removing packs
- Verify stock rotation (First In First Out)
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent, required
- Must be able to understand and follow verbal and written instructions
- Language skills to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
- Able to be exposed to elements.
- Basic mathematical skills.
- Ability to work without direct supervision.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $ $21.75 per hour
