Bieser, Greer & Landis, a mid-sized downtown Dayton law firm which dates back to its founding in 1854, is seeking a skilled and self-motivated Paralegal to support our partners and associate attorneys across multiple practice areas. This role is ideal for a paralegal who is self-motivated and proactive, a quick learner with strong problem-solving skills, adapts quickly, and thrives in a high-demand law firm environment.
Practice Areas Include:
- Medical Malpractice
- Criminal Defense
- Business / Commercial Litigation
- Family Law
- Construction Litigation
- General firm overflow support
Responsibilities:
- Draft and manage pleadings, discovery, motions, subpoenas, and correspondence
- Review, analyze, and organize high-volume documents for research and discovery
- Assist with case preparation for trials, hearings, depositions, and mediations
- Conduct legal and factual research
- Manage electronic and physical case files
- Track deadlines, court dates, and statutes of limitation
- Coordinate with clients, courts, opposing counsel, and experts
- Support multiple attorneys across practice areas as needed
Qualifications:
- 2 years of paralegal experience preferred
- Experience in one or more listed practice areas
- Strong knowledge of court procedures and legal terminology
- Excellent organizational, communication, and time-management skills
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Proven ability to manage multiple cases and deadlines simultaneously
- Tech-savvy and comfortable with legal software, e-filing, Microsoft Office Suite and document management systems
- Ability to maintain accurate digital records and manage high volumes of documents
