Job Overview
Join our construction team as a Construction Laborer and be a vital part of building projects that shape the community! In this role, you be performing a variety of physical tasks to ensure projects are completed efficiently, safely, and to high standards. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to develop your skills in the construction industry while contributing to meaningful projects.
Responsibilities
- Install appliances and hook up sinks. Must have some knowledge of these tasks.
- Install light fixtures, under cabinet lights and occasionally outlets (all existing wiring)
- Install base molding and shoe molding, caulk and putty.
- Spackle and paint minor imperfections as the final touch up phase of finishing the apartment renovation.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment by clearing debris and ensuring safety protocols are followed
- Operate basic tools and machinery safely and correctly
- Follow safety guidelines diligently to prevent accidents and ensure a secure worksite
- Collaborate effectively with team members to meet project deadlines and quality standards
Experience
- Prior experience in construction or manual labor is required.
- Ability to perform tasks and be flexible to scheduling changes quickly.
- Strong teamwork skills with a positive attitude and good communication abilities
- Basic understanding of construction safety practices is a plus
- Willingness to follow instructions carefully and adhere to safety protocols at all times
