Responsibilities
- Safely operate a box truck to deliver packages along designated routes, adhering to traffic laws and safety regulations
- Load and unload shipments efficiently using equipment such as pallet jacks or forklifts when necessary
- Verify delivery addresses, obtain signatures, and ensure accurate documentation of all deliveries
- Provide excellent customer service by greeting recipients professionally and addressing any questions or concerns
- Maintain a clean and well-maintained vehicle, conducting routine inspections before and after shifts
- Follow route plans precisely, adjusting as needed based on delivery priorities or unforeseen circumstances
- Assist with warehouse tasks such as inventory management or moving shipments when not on delivery routes
Skills
- Proven experience as a delivery driver or courier, with strong route driving skills
- Customer service orientation with the ability to communicate clearly and professionally
- Warehouse experience including load & unload procedures, heavy lifting, and moving items safely
- Proficiency in operating commercial vehicles such as box trucks with manual transmission
- Familiarity with equipment like forklifts and pallet jacks is a plus
- Ability to handle heavy lifting and physical tasks throughout the shift
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record;
driver certification preferred - Knowledge of traffic laws, safety procedures, and route planning strategies
