Job Title: Vehicle Inspector
We are currently seeking a detail-oriented and self-motivated individual to join our growing wholesale organization as an Automotive Inspector. As an Automotive Inspector, you will be responsible for conducting on-site vehicle inspections at various locations. If you have a passion for automobiles, exceptional attention to detail, and enjoy working in a mobile capacity, this role is for you.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive inspections of vehicles to identify flaws, faults, and damages
- Perform basic mechanical checks on vehicles, including powertrain, drivetrain, and electrical components
- Commute to customer locations for inspections
- Communicate with sellers to coordinate inspection schedules and address any questions or concerns they may have
- Prepare detailed condition reports, including written descriptions and visual documentation
- Provide accurate and timely information to our team regarding vehicle condition and repair recommendations
- Utilize your automotive knowledge to accurately assess the exterior, interior, and mechanical aspects of the vehicle
- Complete all necessary documentation and paperwork related to inspections
Requirements:
- High School diploma or equivalent
- 1-3 years of experience in the automobile field, such as body mechanic shop or inspections (preferred)
- Knowledge of automotive components, bodywork, paint, and mechanical systems (a plus)
- Valid state-issued driver's license and a safe driving record
- Ability to operate a motor vehicle confidently
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to notice even the smallest flaws or damages
- Physical stamina to stand, walk, sit, bend, stoop, squat, kneel, and lift at least 10 lbs for extended periods
- Excellent vision abilities, including close, distance, and color vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus
- Reliable availability and attendance
- Ability to use digital devices and mobile apps effectively
- Adaptability to work in a dynamic and ever-changing environment
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a team
