We are looking for an experienced Program Manager who will play a critical role supporting multiple Programs within a franchise. Partnering with the Program Team Lead and the Global Program Team members, the Program Manager will develop and maintain program plans, and ensure completion of key activities and progress toward program objectives.
The position will be a member of the Program Management group, reporting to the Head of Program Management.
Responsibilities and Tasks include:
Partner closely with the Program Team Lead to support the Global Program Team (GPT).
Partner closely with the Program Team Lead and the GPT to create and maintain the Program’s integrated development plan, eliciting and integrating contributions from all functions.
Work with the GPT members across functions on the timing of deliverables and their interdependencies.
Support the GPT in setting and tracking the Program’s short- to long-term objectives.
Manage the Program’s timeline and underlying assumptions in collaboration with the GPT members.
Manage the Program’s risks in collaboration with the GPT members.
Support the creation and revisions of the Program’s budget & financial forecasts in collaboration with the GPT and the Finance colleagues. Work closely with them to track spend and explain and manage variances.
Work collaboratively with all functions to monitor progress and follow up with GPT members as needed to ensure on-time completion of activities that are gating.
Anticipate issues and barriers, identify solutions, proactively respond; escalate issues as appropriate, and gather relevant team members to problem-solve.
Ensure the operational performance of the GPT, facilitating key Program Meetings, working with the Program Team Lead to prepare Governance interactions, managing the Program’s Action-Issue-Decision log, Dashboard, Document Repository, and Risk Register.
Responsible for knowledge management, ensuring key program documents are filed and accessible to program team members and stakeholders.
With the Program Team Lead, drive a culture of continuous improvement within the program team including recording and acting on lessons learned. Attend to the team's health with health-checks and team-building initiatives.
Represent the Program Management function in cross-functional initiatives.
Essential:
A thorough understanding of the R&D phases.
Experience with programs across all stages of Development is a must. A strong grasp of how individual functions contribute to the achievement of program objectives is critical.
The Program Manager will be skilled in all elements of project management.
Ability to manage competing priorities, influence and integrate a team, identify barriers, and manage budgets, timelines, and meeting plans.
Exceptional written and verbal communication skills are required. Solid presentation skills.
Experience with conflict resolution and problem solving in real time.
Must demonstrate strong leadership and team-building skills.
Proficient with project management tools (e.g., MS Project.)
Power user of the Microsoft Office Suite of collaboration & productivity tools (e.g., Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, SharePoint.)
Goal-oriented mindset, ability to challenge diplomatically, and excellence in follow-through.
Desirable:
Experience developing cancer medicines.
Project Management Professional certification or equivalent.

Salary : $78,300 - $99,200
