Associate Product Manager, Planning Systems

BICP
San Diego, CA Contractor
POSTED ON 4/23/2026
AVAILABLE BEFORE 5/22/2026

BICP, a market leader in Decision Intelligence, enterprise modernization, and data-driven transformation, is hiring an Associate Product Manager, Planning Systems to support a premium lifestyle apparel client in San Diego, California.

This is a client-facing role for someone who can operate as both a problem solver and a trusted advisor. You will work closely with senior stakeholders across merchandising, planning, operations, and data teams to ensure planning platforms are not only implemented correctly, but drive real, measurable business outcomes.

You will be expected to think beyond requirements, bringing structure to ambiguity, elevating how systems and data are used, and helping clients move from fragmented tools to integrated, decision-driven environments.

What You’ll Do

  • Partner directly with client stakeholders to understand business priorities and translate them into scalable, high-impact system solutions
  • Lead requirements definition and solution design with a focus on simplicity, usability, and long-term sustainability
  • Configure and optimize enterprise planning platforms to align with real-world business processes—not theoretical models
  • Identify and resolve gaps across systems, data, and workflows to improve planning accuracy, speed, and visibility
  • Own delivery across key workstreams, collaborating with engineering while maintaining accountability for outcomes
  • Diagnose and resolve complex system and data issues across interconnected platforms
  • Establish consistency in planning metrics, data definitions, and governance across the ecosystem
  • Lead client workshops, working sessions, and enablement efforts to drive adoption and capability building
  • Develop clear, executive-ready documentation and communicate effectively across both business and technical audiences
  • Act as a trusted partner, providing ongoing perspective on how to improve planning capabilities and system performance

Who You Are

  • 2–4 years of experience in consulting, systems implementation, or enterprise platform delivery in client-facing roles
  • Experience working with planning platforms such as Anaplan, SAP IBP, Oracle Planning, Kinaxis, or similar (Anaplan experience strongly preferred)
  • Strong understanding of planning processes within retail, apparel, or consumer products environments
  • Comfortable operating in ambiguity and bringing structure to complex, evolving business problems
  • Ability to connect business context with technical execution—understanding both how systems work and how they should be used
  • Experience working across data flows and integrations, with the ability to trace and resolve discrepancies across systems
  • Familiarity with BI/reporting tools such as Tableau or Power BI
  • Strong analytical mindset with attention to detail and a bias toward accuracy and quality
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to engage confidently with senior stakeholders
  • Self-directed, accountable, and comfortable operating in a high-expectation, low-overhead environment
