Responsibilities
- Lead and manage all phases of construction operations, including planning, execution, and closeout, ensuring adherence to project schedules and budgets.
- Coordinate with project teams, subcontractors, vendors, and clients to facilitate seamless communication and workflow.
- Develop detailed project schedules using Primavera P6 or similar construction management software to monitor progress and adjust plans proactively.
- Oversee site activities to ensure safety protocols are followed rigorously and that work complies with all relevant codes, contracts, and schematics.
- Utilize construction estimating tools such as HeavyBid to prepare accurate cost projections and resource allocations.
- Review blueprints, schematics, and Civil 3D drawings for accuracy and clarity before construction begins.
- Manage contract administration processes including scope changes, RFIs (Requests for Information), and change orders to mitigate risks.
- Implement project management best practices using tools like ProCore, Bluebeam, and other construction management software for documentation, tracking, and reporting purposes.
- Conduct regular site inspections to ensure quality standards are maintained and resolve any issues promptly.
- Foster a collaborative team environment focused on safety, efficiency, and continuous improvement in construction site operations.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in construction management with a strong background in heavy civil or infrastructure projects; prior site experience is essential.
- Skilled in blueprint reading, schematics interpretation, and civil design documentation like Civil 3D drawings.
- Strong knowledge of contracts, project coordination techniques, and construction site safety protocols.
- Excellent time management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively across multiple projects.
- Ability to lead teams confidently while maintaining a focus on quality control and safety compliance.
