We are currently looking for an experienced automotive technician to become an integral part of our Ford Pro Mobile Team.
Position Overview:
The Mobile Technician will perform on-site repairs, fleet maintenance for customer accounts, customer repairs, and recalls, often directly at the customer's workplace. This role offers a unique opportunity for knowledgeable, efficient, and skilled technicians to work independently.
Key Responsibilities:
Soft Skills Responsibilities:Consistently prioritize a consumer-centric approach.
Maintain organized and efficient work habits.
Showcase proficient communication abilities both orally and via computer.
Demonstrate proficiency in navigating tablets for tasks like:Repair order write-ups and completion.
Conducting multi-point inspections.
Accessing PTS for technical data, vehicle specs, and monitoring OASIS (including searching for any open FSA's).
Technical Skills Responsibilities:Deliver basic electrical and technical services of Base Level Tech B/C standards.
Demonstrate coachability and be driven by quality.
Utilize scan tools, such as IDS, FDRS, and optional generic scanners (dealer preference).
Execute module programming, DTC's retrieval, and, when required, PID interpretation.
Physical Capabilities:Display flexibility in bending, squatting, and laying on the ground.
Have the physical stature necessary for under-vehicle services.
Easily and frequently transition from a prone position to standing.
Display resilience in diverse weather conditions.
Possess the strength to lift a tire onto a vehicle from a crouching position, and in some instances, have the ability to lift between 75 and 100 pounds (especially for Mobile Service Van repairs).
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in automotive repair.
- High school diploma or equivalent (Preferred).
- Must possess a valid Driver's License.
Working Conditions:
- Schedule: 8-hour shift
- Expected hours: 38 – 44 per week
Compensation and Benefits:
- Salary: $25.00 - $35.00 per hour.
