Responsibilities
Assist with landscape installation including planting trees, shrubs, and flowers, ensuring proper placement and care. Operate and maintain hand tools and power tools such as trimmers, blowers, shovels, and lawn mowers to perform routine landscaping tasks. Support landscape maintenance activities like mowing, edging, pruning, and tree trimming to keep outdoor areas healthy and attractive. Help with irrigation system installation and repairs to ensure efficient watering of landscaped areas. Participate in construction projects involving hardscape features like patios, walkways, or retaining walls using appropriate equipment such as excavators. Perform seasonal snow plowing and removal to keep properties safe during winter months. Assist with general site cleanup, debris removal, and ongoing maintenance to uphold high standards of landscape presentation.
Skills
Strong mechanical knowledge and familiarity with various hand tools and power tools used in landscaping and construction. Experience in lawn care practices including mowing, edging, fertilizing, and aeration. Knowledge of landscape maintenance techniques such as pruning, tree care, and horticulture principles. Ability to operate equipment like excavators or other machinery safely and effectively. Understanding of irrigation systems installation and troubleshooting for efficient water management.
