Position Responsibilities
Must have knowledge of aerial, buried and underground medium voltage distribution systems.
Must have thorough understanding of primary parts of shielded, solid dielectric medium voltage cable.
Must be able to read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and plans.
Must be able to keep accurate records of information pertaining to job assignments and interact with site management to report all changes or alterations to original job duties.
Must be able to identify appropriate clearances from other utilities on poles, structures, common trenches and underground duct systems.
Responsible for safe operation of bucket trucks and other heavy equipment as may be introduced.
Must have the ability to recognize and report potentially dangerous work sites.

Position Requirements
Must be authorized to work in the United States now and in the future
Completion of accredited electrician or lineman apprenticeship training program
Desired but not required, Certification as a High Voltage Cable Splicer by the National Cable Splicer Certification Board (NCSCB)
