About the Role
bia BLENDS is looking for an energetic, dependable, and hands-on Operations & Brand Assistant to support our day-to-day operations and local brand presence.
In this role, no two days are quite the same. You’ll be the operational glue behind our fulfillment and stock room, help keep our digital media organized, run local errands, and occasionally represent the brand out in the community at local events and pop-ups. This is an ideal position for a reliable self-starter who loves variety, staying active, and getting hands-on experience inside a growing wellness and beverage brand.
Core Responsibilities1. Fulfillment, Stock Room & Inventory
- Pick, pack, and ship direct-to-consumer and retail orders with accuracy, care, and speed.
- Receive, carry, unpack, and organize bulk ingredients, packaging supplies, and finished products.
- Keep the stock room, fulfillment station, and storage areas clean, organized, and properly labeled.
- Monitor supply levels (boxes, tape, mailers, ingredients) and flag restocks before supplies run low.
- Occasional assistance with product packaging
2. Local Errands & Team Deliveries
- Pick up supplies, packaging, or ingredients from local vendors around Portland.
- Deliver samples, marketing assets, or product materials to other Portland-based team members and partners.
- Handle routine drop-offs with shipping carriers (USPS, UPS, FedEx).
3. Brand Ambassador & Events (Occasional)
- Represent bia BLENDS on-site at local weekend markets, sampling events, pop-ups, or community activations.
- Engage with customers, share product knowledge, sample drinks, and handle basic on-site setup/teardown.
4. Digital Organization, Research & Social Media Support
- Organize and categorize raw photo and video assets into shared cloud folders so they are easy to find and use.
- Assist with scheduling routine social posts, drafting simple captions, or capturing quick behind-the-scenes clips.
- Conduct basic research on potential retail stockists, local events, or packaging/ingredient vendors.
- Tackle miscellaneous administrative or ad-hoc projects as they pop up.
Requirements & Qualifications
- Valid Driver’s License & Reliable Vehicle: Required for running errands, picking up supplies, and making local deliveries across the Portland metro area (mileage reimbursed for work errands).
- Physical Capability: Able to lift, carry, and maneuver boxes, bags of ingredients, and product weighing up to 50 lbs occasionally, as well as be on your feet during packing sessions or events.
- High Attention to Detail: You double-check packing slips, handle inventory carefully, and keep spaces neat and orderly.
- Proactive & Dependable: Punctual, clear communicator, and comfortable working independently once given direction.
- Friendly & Personable: Enthusiastic about speaking with people when representing the brand at public events.
- Comfort with Basic Tech: Familiar with Google Drive/Docs/Sheets, social media apps (Instagram/TikTok), or eager to learn basic e-commerce tools.
- Personal Laptop: Must have your own working, reliable laptop for digital tasks, research, asset organization, and order processing.
- Work Setting Comfort: Comfortable working in a professional, home-based business setting.
- Alignment with Brand Values: Strong interest or active lifestyle in health, fitness, or wellness.
- Reliability & Communication: Punctual, responsive, and comfortable executing tasks independently once trained.
Pay: $19.00 - $21.00 per hour
Expected hours: 5.0 – 20.0 per week
