UX Designer

BI WORLDWIDE
Edina, MN Full Time
POSTED ON 9/12/2026
AVAILABLE BEFORE 10/11/2026
At BI WORLDWIDE, we are committed to creating belongingness, where D&I is a priority. We invite you to join us as we continue to expand our culture of inclusivity, collaboration, and authenticity together.

We work a hybrid model (3 days in the office and 2 days work from home); this position is located in our Minneapolis Metro headquarters.

Our Automotive Solutions Group is seeking interest for a UX Designer. This individual is responsible for managing wireframes and prototypes that support client-facing web and mobile experiences, while partnering with PMs, developers, and clients to turn ambiguous requirements into clear, visual, implementable designs. This is the first dedicated UX role in our space, so there's a real opportunity to help shape our UX workflows, standards, and best practices as the group grows.

Roles & Responsibilities

  • Partner with the internal team and external clients early in the project lifecycle to clarify problems, define scope, and gather meaningful requirements before moving into detailed design
  • Design wireframes, prototypes, and flows for web and mobile experiences across the Automotive Solutions Group
  • Bridge business needs and technical feasibility, ensuring designs meet technical specifications and are formatted for straightforward developer handoff, implementation, and review
  • Facilitate requirement gathering sessions and design discussions with PMs, clients, and other stakeholders to optimize usability and information architecture
  • Present and explain design work and rationale to PMs, clients, and internal teams, incorporating feedback across iterations
  • Build off of existing work and help establish consistent design patterns and standards as our practice matures
  • Support basic user testing and validation as we build out this capability within the department
  • Track and manage design work using Jira and Confluence
  • Maintain awareness of accessibility best practices to help inform emerging design patterns
  • Collaborate with developers throughout implementation to confirm designs are executed as intended

Skills & Abilities

  • Creative problem solver who can translate ambiguous business needs and stakeholder input into clear, well-defined design artifacts
  • Excellent written and verbal communication, comfortable presenting and facilitating with clients and stakeholders
  • Proactive and self-directed, able to manage multiple projects with minimal supervision
  • Strong collaborative mindset, with the ability to partner effectively across PMs, developers, and clients
  • Working knowledge of or interest in growing UX research and testing methods
  • Able to pivot based on feedback and changing priorities
  • Interest in shaping and establishing UX processes for a growing practice

Required Technical Capabilities

  • Proficient in wireframing and prototyping tools (e.g., Figma, Sketch, Adobe XD, or similar)
  • Strong understanding of web and mobile design patterns and responsive design principles
  • Experience delivering design specs in formats usable by developers for implementation and review
  • Working knowledge of Jira and Confluence for ticketing and documentation
  • Awareness of accessibility best practices; familiarity with AI-assisted UX workflows is a plus

Required Experience & Education

  • 3-5 years of experience as a UX Designer, Product Designer, or similar role
  • A portfolio that illustrates your design approach, process, and problem-solving required for consideration
  • Experience working directly with clients or external stakeholders on requirements gathering is a plus
  • Experience with automotive or similar client-facing digital products is a plus
