Summary/Objective
The Warehouse Tech is responsible for distribution of supplies and equipment to all areas of the hospital. This non-clinical position requires skills and experience in working in a hospital warehouse. The Warehouse Tech must support the mission of providing Sacred Work to all who enter the doors of Baptist Hospitals of Southeast Texas.
Essential Job Duties

- Checks incoming material for quality against purchase orders, packing slips or receiving work sheets or purchase orders if necessary.
- Ensure that proper documentation is placed on each package and that signed delivery tickets are being returned to the materials department in a timely manner.
- Operates specialized equipment such as manual transmission box truck, hydraulic jacks, and copy machines. Lifts and moves heavy objects into proper staging area, from and to loading truck.
- Assist with checking in incoming freight.
- Must prioritize requests and delivers all STAT orders and any refrigerated item in a timely manner.
- Ensure that problems or concerns regarding the Central Service or Material Management department and other related areas are communicated with the Leadership Team of Materials.
Required Education and Experience
Must be able to drive a manual transmission box truck.
