Role Description The Dermatology Physician Assistant is a full-time, on-site role based in Glendale, CA. This role involves performing detailed patient histories and physical examinations, diagnosing and managing a variety of medical dermatology conditions, and providing patient education on treatment plans, medications, and skin care routines. Day-to-day responsibilities include ordering and interpreting appropriate diagnostic tests, performing common dermatologic procedures (such as biopsies, cryotherapy, and simple excisions), and documenting visits accurately in the medical record. The Physician Assistant will collaborate closely with the supervising dermatologist and clinical staff to ensure coordinated, timely, and high-quality patient care, while maintaining strict adherence to safety, compliance, and ethical standards.
Qualifications
- Current licensure as a Physician Assistant in the state of California and graduation from an accredited PA program.
- Certification by the NCCPA and eligibility to obtain or current possession of DEA registration.
- Prior clinical job experience in dermatology.
- Demonstrated ability to perform focused dermatologic exams, diagnose common skin conditions, and develop evidence-based treatment plans.
- Competence in basic dermatologic procedures (e.g., biopsies, cryotherapy, simple excisions); experience with cosmetic procedures is a plus.
- Strong patient communication and education skills, with the ability to explain diagnoses and treatments in clear, accessible language.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced office setting, manage a full patient schedule, and collaborate within a multidisciplinary team.
